Milky & Sunny forms part of the line up of restos and holes in the wall that you would encounter inside the neigborhood of Kapitolyo, Pasig. Kapitolyo, or Kapits as some people fondly call it, is being frequented by foodies and returning customers alike as your options here are abundant and it would be impossible not to find a restaurant that offers something that you are craving for at a given moment.

I was feeling bright and sunny last Sunday, much thanks to the equally sunny and fine weather, so I chose to eat at Milky & Sunny. Also, I want to eat something nice and light; nothing heavy and meaty as I was already feeling pretty much bloated. Walking in the resto, I was greeted by a violet, plastic table filled with the store's furry friends, which kids will love, with these two denim tub chairs on both sides and I instantly knew on that moment that I am home! I love anything denim (except in jeans because I rarely wear jeans)! My phone's wallpaper is denim, my go-to bag for how many months now is made of denim, I have two high-heeled shoes which are denim all over and if that is not yet enough, I have a denim dress that I totally adore.

Pastels, florals and eye-candy decorations and details populate the place. Their staff is very warm and accommodating that they do always smile at me when they pass by or catch my stare. I wonder if anyone could ever get angry if they stay here in this dreamland. Even the wooden utensils/tissue holders are so chic, ala Cath Kidston!

I ordered this Broccoli and Mushroom Casserole with toasted bread on the side without any expectations. When my order arrived, I was blown away by the serving size! It is clearly not for just one person and this remark is coming from someone who commuted under the scorching sun and ate breakfast at 7 AM and did not have her lunch until 3 PM. But because I am voracious as it is, I was able to finish all (but with some difficulty, trust me)!

The dish was cooked in a way that you will not be able to get enough of the flavors easily. The baked cream cheese, combined with broccoli and mushroom, topped with bits of cheese crackers and a dash of paprika was so delightful, though heavy, that I was able to empty my plate. Also, I did not feel that guilty since it does not have any meat in it!

I regretted ordering the strawberry milkshake though because it was so creamy and fluffy that it easily filled the remaining spaces in my stomach. Nonetheless, the shake was good and it was good value for your money since you could tell they did not scrimp on the ingredients! Milkshake followers will totally love this! But when it comes to the taste, there is nothing extraordinary with this drink when compared to the other strawberry milkshakes out there, so you might want to skip this when you order.

Going to a potluck anytime soon? Milky & Sunny do also have an extensive list of dishes that you could choose from to bring on those special events or gatherings.

Are you expecting only a simple get together with your besties? They have a serving size that is good for 3-4 persons. They also have a size that is good for 8-10 persons should you be hosting for a larger group! I was told that their bestsellers include the Broccoli and Mushroom Casserole (Php 520.00 / Php 1300.00) and Bacon and Spam Pasta (Php 520.00 / Php 1300.00) but then again there are many other choices to choose from.

Overall, I love this place! The ambiance and food are great. It is very apt for a bonding session with your family, a casual date with your boyfriend or hubby or a simple breakfast with your girlies the morning after a sleep over. Whichever it is, stories will surely be told over a glass of milk and comfort food.
