Delighting in Some Cambodian Dishes in Romdeng

Delighting in Some Cambodian Dishes in Romdeng

PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA. Set in a colonial building in which its furniture, lightings and wooden carvings were all made from Cambodia, Romdeng is part of TREE (Training Restaurants for Employment and Entrepreneurship) which is a global alliance of training restaurants based on a successful model of social business which not only helps their students to become skilled and happy young individuals but also provides, along the way, customer satisfaction and a continuous cycle of corporate sustainability. TREE restaurants are invested on their students to be the best they want to be on their chosen vocations through the training these restaurants provide and the social programs they initiate and promote to support these same students on their journey.

Cambodian cuisine is one of Asia's hidden treasures and Romdeng has a very diversed menu to complement that. Are you a meat lover, seafood and fish lover, veggie lover or a sweet lover (which begets some lovely misconception actually because of its double meaning)? No worries as their menu is partitioned in a way in which you can easily identify which fares fit your preference. Do not get surprised though when you catch a glimpse of words like tarantulas and red tree ants because some of their dishes are really exotic like that. So if your appetite for adventure is above average, it is an assurance that Romdeng would be able to accommodate it. Half portions are also available for some dishes if you want to try more for a lesser price. To see more of what they offer, you may check their menu here.

If you happen to be in Phnom Penh and are looking for a restaurant that has that homey and airy ambiance where you can sit in, unwind after a long day of roaming around the city and have a nice chat and a meal filled with Cambodian delights with your loved ones, this would definitely be the perfect restaurant for you. Moreover, it is also nice to know that aside from the lovely experience that you will get from dining in there, you are as well supporting the same people who are cooking your food and who are serving it to your table. Really an amazing dining experience for a worthy cause.
