10 First-Timer Things That You Can Do While You Are in Munich

MUNICH, GERMANY. There are a lot of things to do, see and eat in Munich but since not everyone has the luxury of time to stay in the city for as long as possible and has only a limited time to see what Munich has to offer, I took the liberty to list some of the things that I enjoyed doing while I was there. Most of them can be done and enjoyed without money needed or only at a minimum cost. Hoping to add here an item or two to your must-do list for your upcoming visit to Munich! 

1. Try as many kind of German sausages as you can

2. Visit the Dachau Memorial Site

3. Go to a famous beer hall and chug down a liter (or two) of beer…

...do not forget to order a humongous salted pretzel to come with it. 

4. Roam around the Marienplatz and view the Glockenspiel clock...

... try going there during the night or, better yet, during the Christmas season.

5. Order and enjoy a yummy bowl of Fladle (Pancake Soup)

6. Go to the BMW Museum and be in awe of the amazing car displays they have there

... Optional: Feel and ride as many car displays as you possibly can and take as many pictures of you riding in them or standing in front of them as you must to show-off to your friends back home (haha!)

7. Eat like there's no tomorrow in the Viktualienmarkt

8. Take a quiet moment and watch the ducks and swans swim in the Olympic lake while enjoying the amazing backdrop that lies ahead.

9. Take the S-bahn / U-bahn and randomly pick a station. You'll never know what amazing things will you find if you do that.

10. Walk aimlessly and just go where your feet lead you.
