Afternoon Stroll in Costa del Sol

COSTA DEL SOL, SPAIN. Seeing the sun and having its rays reach my skin which is already craving for some heat perked up my spirit! Since it is winter, it is a given that gloomy days outnumbers the sunny ones. To tell you the truth, I barely felt the sun while I was in Madrid, Toledo and Granada! With that, I was not expecting to see and feel the sun when we drove to the south of Spain. But Costa del Sol is something. And I think the place would not have been named like that for no reason. Costa del Sol is the break that I have been wanting to see for many days now and well, it did not disappoint. There is the sand, the water and the sun in this place! And the sun is always out in Costa del Sol which is quite appealing to the English people given that they have the highest percentage of visit in the coast. Upon arriving in it, we left our baggages in the room and we immediately went out to walk along the coast. Though it was sunny, we still kept our jackets, socks and boots on because it was still cold compared to what we are used to. And the cold sea breeze did not help either. However, it had been a nice walk. We passed by so many restaurants and some amazing sand arts worthy of a second look, a pause and a camera shot. Amazingly, even in the middle of winter, Costa del Sol is as lively as it can get. Aside from that, the coast has that ability to free my mind of any worries and just enjoy what is in front of me. Costa del Sol has this popular statue of this two women, with half of their upper garment already removed exposing one of their breasts while running joyously, hand in hand, into the sea. The women in the statue seemed like they had been liberated. Well, most say that it is a complete representation of liberation as this is what most of the people feel when they go to this side of Spain to take a much needed break after months of working. And you know what, Costa del Sol made me feel the liberation sans the unnecessary exposure.
