One Summer Night in Queen Victoria Market
During summer, Queen Victoria Market hosts a night market filled with amazing food, various shopping stalls and live entertainment and music. Last Wednesday we got the chance to visit the market. We ended up getting some Chicken Souvla and a large mixed platter of meat. The Chicken Souvla with salad from the Cypriot Kitchen is surprisingly so good while the platter of meat from Southside Smokers filled with sausages, pork ribs, pulled pork and beef ribs was just the best. After getting our fix of amazing street food, we checked the stalls in the area and found this stall in which you can get creative and make your own art. With at least $20 as investment, they will provide you the glass canvas, gold leaves, glitters, paints and more. I was almost tempted to try it! Maybe next time if Kimi is asleep while we are there. After we finished looking at the stalls which interested us, we went in the activity area to watch Lisa Lottie do an incredible hula-hoop performance. Her energy is so infectious and not too mention sheβs also an eye-candy! I also loved how she works the crowd, such an entertainer. I just found out that Lisa is actually famous and her brilliance in working the hula hoop is her claim to fame. She also spoke in a TED conference which made me even more a fan! I have already added her talk in my playlist so that I can watch it later. We left the market feeling so satisfied we are thinking of going back there again next week. Maybe we will try Wonderbao and the crepes store next time we are there!
