HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM - If ever there is something that I remember deeply during our travel to Ho Chi Minh City, it would certainly be the food! The food there was amazing! Nha Hang Ngon is the first restaurant that we tried when we went in Ho Chi Minh and I think this was the one which started the first of the many affairs we had with Vietnamese food. After we were done with our guided tour in the Reunification Palace, which lasted until a little over lunch, we immediately looked for a restaurant that we could eat at to satisfy our craving and then-hungry bellies.

Painted with some bright, eye-catchy yellow, you can never miss Nha Hang Ngon. Located along Pasteur Rd, adjacent to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia which serves as one of the streets circumferencing the Palace, getting here and finding the place would be an easy breezy task. It looks quite intimidating at first to step in the compound of the restaurant because of its very posh exterior but it is a gamble that you have to take if you are already starving big time, like us! Once you see the menu and the corresponding price though, you will heave a sigh of relief because the dishes are very cheap to boot! But the price and the nice ambiance are just the tip of the iceberg. Wait till you taste their food!

The Pho Bo was heavenly! My brother who is not a fan of ingesting leafy vegetables loved this soup. He actually ate a lot of greens during our stay in the country which tells a lot how delicious it all was! So if you have kids who are not fond of eating greens, have them eat this and I bet you do not have to nag them anymore to eat greens after this meal! They will deliberately eat vegetables without you telling them to!

The Stir-fried rice noodles with pork and shrimp was so fresh, light and delicious that I was tempted to order another plate for our group! It was that addicting! And of course who can ever forget about those Fresh Spring Rolls. I can't anymore remember how many of these did we eat but I can assure you that it was more than you can ever imagine! More than the chill pacing and the attractions, the spring rolls is another thing that could definitely make me catch a flight to Ho Chi Minh City in a heartbeat!
