Colorful Sunday in Croque

Colorful Sunday in Croque

METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES. We were on our way home when we chanced upon this bright, cozy restaurant in the middle of Pasay Road. It is hard not to stop by for a while to check out the place because it looks so inviting with its bright blue and yellow hue! I just love discovering new places when I travel around the metro so I seize the opportunity even though I was already itching to go home to have some siesta.

What immediately caught my attention about the place was its very shabby chic interior. I just love going to any restaurant or shop that makes me feel comfortable and at home in an instant. The unfinished floor and cabinets and colorful walls and displays complemented one another very well which gave the place a nice and homey ambiance.

You can dine here if you got time to spare, but if you got none and are only hopping from here to your next destination you got nothing to worry about as they also got a nice selection of bread and cakes on this little corner for those individuals who are on the go. I am in love with anything sweet so my attention diverted to this little corner the moment I stepped inside the establishment. The little freezer on the far right showcases a variety of cake to choose from. Just seeing that they have Red Velvet, Salted Caramel and Blueberry Cheesecake perplexed me already in ways that you can never imagine. I had undergone a very hard decision-making process but I ended up leaning towards getting the Salted Caramel Cake which turned out to be the sweetest but worthiest thing ever! Each bite was so good that I just could not help but close my eyes to savor the moment!

Moreover, since this cafe also doubles as a bakery, they also has a nice selection of breads that can be seen from the outside through the glass window. From pandesal, loaf bread, Speculoos bread and more, I can very much say that they have a fair number of options that could already keep you confused for a while. I threw in some Speculoos bread, Coffee bread, pandesal and loaf bread in to the mix to take home. I adore the Speculoos bread! It was enjoyable to eat as it contained a nice dollop of Speculoos butter inside some of those soft and freshly-baked bread!

Other than their cakes and breads, they consider their Braised Beef Shortribs (Php 480) as their bestseller and the Steaks as the Chef's specialties. I love a good piece of meat so hearing that perked me up immediately and I could not anymore contain my excitement for my next visit to this place to try their specialties and the meals. I bet they would be more than lovely.

How about you? Have you tried out this place?
