Granada, Spain: Hotel Carmen

GRANADA, SPAIN. We stayed in Hotel Carmen for a night when we went to Granada to watch the Flamenco in Cueva del Rocio that same night and to visit the Alhambra Palace the day after. Compared to other alternatives, it is an upscale option for accommodation with a pool and a restaurant. Starting today, I will only focus on four factors that greatly matters to me in a hotel: location, wifi connection, food and their beds. 

Location

What I love most about the place is the location. It is conveniently placed near the nice restaurants in the city. However, you have to know though that restaurants there usually open at 8 pm for dinner. Also, it is located just across El Corte Ingles, which seems to be Spain's official, national department store because of its numerous branches across the country. This is off the record, but I think that it is a good thing to be close to this particular mall especially if you love finding a good bargain as you'll never know what you can find in there. My mom particularly bought a Longchamp Le Pliage large travel bag in black for only 69 euros and I think that is a great deal. So to those who love to shop, I think you would love it here.

Wifi Connection

The wifi can be accessed all throughout the hotel. The connection is faster in the lobby but the speed is acceptable enough for us to browse the internet and access apps that only need minimal data usage.

Food

The breakfast buffet includes typical dishes that the other hotels offer.

The Beds

The bed is just fine but what I appreciate about the bed is the warm comforter hiding underneath the sheets that kept me so warm during that cold, winter night and the long, soft pillow that I hugged instead. I slept comfortably that night!
