The Magnificent and Large Prague Castle Complex
PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC. Our tour guide has not yet experienced snow in Prague. It is actually unusual especially since she always visits the place during the peak of the winter season. So when she told us this fact, we were more than happy to hear it. At least we get the chance to escape the snow even just for a few days and enjoy better the city without being distracted by the snow.
I wake up feeling refreshed from my first night's sleep in Prague. Well, the rumpled comforter says it all. After much tossing and turning, I finally got up from my bed and approached the big window tiptoeing, afraid that my early morning rustling would wake up my brothers, who are my roommates. Even before I could ever reach the window, I saw already that which I had been praying hard not to see for today: it was snowing hard outside. Looks like God wanted us to have more memories of the snow. Maybe He wanted for us to experience more of it so that we would not forget it even months after we had gotten back to the Philippines.
We start our morning tripping in the Prague Castle's compound. What a great start to our all-day city appreciation. Again, we just could not help but fall in love deeper by the day with Eastern Europe.
Only a part of the whole of Prague, touring the Prague Castle complex is just one of the many things that you could do when you are in the city. You could actually spend a good half day at the least going through all of the notable attractions and historical sights here. Something that should not be left off from your bucket list, it should be noted that this extravagant castle has been a seat of power for the kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia. Now who would not bother setting foot in a place where hundreds of influential people had set foot in, eh?
