Lunar & Chinese New Year in Crown
We went to Crown Melbourne yesterday to join in their celebration of the Lunar and Chinese New Year! It was actually my first time to roam around in Crown and I must say that it is huge and was jampacked with people yesterday! There were a few ArtVo trick art 3D photowalls scattered around various locations in Crown where you can take your picture in. The Crown Riverwalk was the busiest as it also caters to a few Chinese New Year events like the Hawkerβs Bazaar (runs until Feb 10 11 am - 10 pm) which has about 30 stalls along the stretch offering Chinese delicacies and a variety of Asian hawker-syle food which I loved! We got some fried chicken skewer with Lemon and Aioli in Kimu, Calamari (which I must say was yummy) in one of the stalls and sugar cane juice and enjoyed it in one of the seating spots along the walk. There was also the nightly Fire Dragon Show which runs until Feb 12 and Zodiac Spectacular which is a free display in The Atrium that showcases twelve Chinese zodiac animal lanterns. This display is something to behold as the animals and lanterns suspended from the ceiling change color over time and are very intricately made. We had so much fun in there. Go to the Crown Melbourne now as some of the events are still ongoing!
