Mickey Mouse Arthouse and Lunch in Stalactites
Went to Mickey Mouse Arthouse in Melbourne Central. It was just a small space filled with 90 artworks made by 90 artists to celebrate 90 years of Mickey Mouse but it would already make any Mickey Mouse fan ecstatic.
After enjoying our time in there, we then went to Stalactites which is a Greek restaurant that I had been wanting to dine in years now but only got the chance to do so lately! Got the Appetizer platter (good for 2) which includes tzatziki, hommus and tarama dips, smoked pork sausages (spicy goodness!), Greek beef biftekia (which looked like burger patties) and your choice of a grilled lean lamb or chicken fillet skewer (they gave us both!), served with pita bread. The pita was so amazing as it had a smokey taste to it. And the meat? Ah don’t get me started with the lamb, beef, chicken and pork on the platter! They were all deh-li-cious! So delicious I can’t believe I’ve only gotten to taste them lately.
Aside from the platter, we also ordered the Beef Kokinisto which is beef casserole slow cooked in a tomato-based sauce. It is one of the homemade dishes that they offer. There was a promo when we went in there in which in every order of a homemade dish, you will also get a free glass of wine. Sweet!
Stalactites will surely be a default restaurant for us to dine in from now on.
