Spending Quality Time with the Family in Kainan Au Gusto

METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES. Kainan au Gusto is one of those restaurants that you will definitely try because of its air of mystery. If you do not look closely enough or if you are not looking at its side when you pass by it while you drive along E. Capitol Drive, it would really be easy to miss this gem of a restaurant! Those who only make the effort to go down and search for it behind the big trees would discover this place. A cafeteria-styled restaurant owned by the same owner of Cafe Juanita is what will greet you as you peek through the trees.

What's Your Trip? Simple Lang

METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES. I could not remember anymore why we ate out that particular night or why my mom asked if we could all have our dinner outside but I remember finding myself immediately searching for a place we could try out in Makati. I have always been the go-to person in our family for this kind of stuffs. Where can we go this weekend? Where will we eat after mass? What new activity is it in the metro that we could try?

OLONGAPO CITY, PHILIPPINES - Opened in 1984, The Coffee Shop has become an institution in Barretto, a small barrio just outside the city center of Olongapo. The unassuming restaurant  is accessible through a 10-minute drive from the city center to the northern part of Zambales. Even before my parents chose to reside near here and even before I had been born, this restaurant is already up and running and serving the largest, if not the best, tacos in town!

PAMPANGA, PHILIPPINES - Last Holy Thursday, we decided to go home and visit our hometown that is Subic. The thought of seeing the place again got me so excited since it has been almost a year now since my last visit to it. Given that it was the start of the holy week when we chose to traverse NLEX, we found ourselves stuck in a bad traffic which transformed the supposedly 2.5-hour trip to an 8-hour one.

This is one restaurant that I am very excited to blog about! It is because for one, this resto offers Maki and other Japanese-based delights and also because of the commendable ingenuity of the founder to infuse some Filipino soul and ingredients to their otherwise foreign dishes. Yes, you read it right!

Three Sisters has been cooking amazing foods for so long now. One of the pioneers along the now-known strip in Kapitolyo, Three Sisters has already stood the test of time. An institution in itself, the restaurant has been already there even before Kapitolyo has been recognized as a foodie haven.

Taking the place of Fish and Co., Smokin' Hot Bar BQ is a new addition to the roster of restaurants in the Greenbelt area. Serving Filipino dishes tweaked to appeal to both the local and foreign palate, another Bistro Group concept is here to stay.
