METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES. In lieu with my current goal of staying fit and healthy (well, I try to be!), I dragged my whole family down last Sunday to this hole-in-the-wall restaurant beside A. Venue in the outskirts of Makati called Beni's Falafel. I usually try hard to resist doing so as my brothers are meat-loving persons and are not particularly into healthy options but when I read that they also offer chicken meals alongside their vegetarian bestsellers I instantly thought that this would be the perfect time to bring them to one.

It is hard not to stop by for a while to check out the place because it looks so inviting with its bright blue and yellow hue! I just love discovering new places when I travel around the metro so I seize the opportunity even though I was already itching to go home to have some siesta.

METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES. To celebrate my birthday, we took advantage of the Aug 28 holiday and scoured down the metro to find a restaurant where we could dine. Though I love Japanese food (anyone who is close to me knows how much I adore anything raw!), I decided to change it up a little bit and go for Korean instead. Why Korean? I always had this notion that Korean food is super expensive but I was blown away when I tried eating in A-Won Charcoal Barbecue Restaurant in Hobbies of Asia and there is no turning back for me from then on.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES - Bread Pudding is love. I always get giddy whenever I eat pudding or I saw pudding in a store or a buffet table. I like it primarily because of its taste and maybe a little bit because of its mushiness but I love it more because of its simplicity and the comfort it gives me whenever I eat one. It feels like being transported back to the time when I was still a little kid and all I think about was sugar, candies, cakes, cartoons, jackstone and everything nice.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES - It is only recently that we were able to try those Yakiniku-styled restaurants in the metro. You may be asking what took us so long right as restaurants like these abound here in our country due to the undeniable presence of Japanese and Koreans here? Well, prior succumbing, we had this notion that Yakinikus are somewhat pricey for their minute quantity and we initially thought that we could not possibly get full by these as we, as a family, are naturally big eaters.

Ever since we had experienced Vietnam and had tasted their flavors, there was no turning back for us to those restaurants that served us Vietnamese delights that does not measure up, in any way, to those Phos and spring rolls we have tasted in the province.
