All in Food Notes

A click on the internet and the proximity of us in Tomas Morato led me to this homey restaurant along Scout Lozano called LoLa Cafe + Bar. It was already night time when we navigated through the unfamiliar place and being a Taft kid that i am, it did not help that I frequent the vicinity only when I have to.

Who says size does not matter clearly has not eaten yet at Casa Verde. Tucked in a dark and narrow alley at the back of the touristy Crown Regency Hotel, Casa Verde sits unassumingly there as if its presence is irrelevant as compared to its neighbouring counterparts and attractions. But almost all people know that irrelevant it is (absolutely) not as the restaurant had already gained a huge following from locals and tourists alike.

The Lamian Restaurant is one of the three restaurants (Cena, another resto is coming its way) that you can find in Bellevue Resort in Panglao Island. Lamian offers an all-day buffet of international cuisine! What I extremely appreciated about the restaurant is that they established their point of focus; they fixed their dishes to a few items and expanded the buffet from there.

If you visit a province, it is customary to taste their native dishes and delicacies. The moment we arrived in Tagbilaran, we made it a point to find a restaurant that offers Boholano or Visayan dishes at the very least.

I always say that whenever you are at a loss and in doubt on what to eat, always choose inihaw (grilled foods)! You could never go wrong with it as I have yet to find a person who does not love to eat anything grilled. People love it by default! If you happen to be in Cebu and you are craving for grilled foods, Larsian is your best bet!

When you say Cebu, almost instantaneously you will think of Lechon. In my case, this has been ingrained to me ever since because whenever a friend of mine goes to Cebu, it is a common thing to hear someone in the room says "Pabili naman ako ng lechon! (Could you please buy me roasted pig?)".

CAB Cafe is one of those unassuming restaurants that sit in the burgeoning foodie hub which is Kapitolyo. See those cars parked in front of CAB? That is a strong indicator of how good their foods are!

It is undeniable that Filipinos love to eat, at whatever time of the day may it be; the reason why I was not shocked when weekend markets came along and sprouted like mushrooms these past few years. Baga Manila is one of those market mushrooms that came to us Pinoy, living in the metro, to satisfy our weekend and midnight cravings!

Milky & Sunny forms part of the line up of restos and holes in the wall that you would encounter inside the neigborhood of Kapitolyo, Pasig. Kapitolyo, or Kapits as some people fondly call it, is being frequented by foodies and returning customers alike as your options here are abundant and it would be impossible not to find a restaurant that offers something that you are craving for at a given moment.

Jumping in the bandwagon, we visited the newly opened SM Aura Premier located in the Global City in Taguig during its 2nd day. And I must say that it really was built to impress! Although almost half of the shops are not opened yet, just seeing the name of the stores as I walk through the mall's humongous corridors was already enough to make me salivate with excitement!
